Amanda Wagner
Amanda Wagner Holmes is Capital City Law’s Estate Planning Attorney. Amanda initially joined the CCL team as an intern during law school and got her feet wet in real estate law. After law school, Amanda practiced workers’ compensation insurance defense, but quickly found that she missed the joy and collaboration of working directly with clients. She found her way back to CCL to provide peace of mind for planning for individuals and families. Much like her prior experience helping people find jobs as a recruiter, Amanda enjoys getting to help people plan for the future. Amanda has experienced first-hand the importance of proper estate planning and hopes to relieve some of the burden of future-planning for her clients.
Amanda grew up in several states along the east coast, but she calls North Carolina home. Following graduation from Presbyterian College, Amanda moved to Raleigh and worked as a recruiter. In 2020, Amanda traded her favorite city for a few years in Greensboro to attend Elon University School of Law, where she was a Presidential Scholar, a member of the Moot Court Board, an Academic Fellow, and an Admissions Ambassador. She graduated cum laude in 2022.
Outside of work, you can find Amanda spending time with her husband, Elliott, and their dog, Winnie. When she is not with them on a walk around the neighborhood, she will likely be found taking a cycle class at her favorite gym, reading a book, working on a puzzle, or practicing her newest hobby, needlepoint.
Amanda is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association’s Estate Planning Section, the Wake County Bar Association, and serves as a Co-Chair on the Young Lawyers Division Pro Bono Committee.
