Katie Kelsch Dowell is an attorney and founding partner of Capital City Law. She is licensed to practice in North Carolina.
Katie is a life-long resident of Raleigh, North Carolina, who wanted to be a lawyer since she was a little girl. She fulfilled that dream while married to her wonderful husband of twelve years, Jeff Dowell, and with two of the coolest kids to walk the face of the planet in tow – Joshua, 11, and Levi, 5.
Kyle Smalling is an attorney and co-owner of Capital City Law. A native of Boone, North Carolina, Kyle spent his early years in the High Country before moving to Raleigh with his high school sweetheart and now wife, Laura.
Kyle graduated from North Carolina State University with a degree in Chemical Engineering and obtained his law degree from Campbell University.
Amanda Buyrn is an attorney and founding partner at Capital City Law. She is licensed to practice in both North Carolina and Virginia.
Born and raised in Chesapeake, Virginia, Amanda comes from a family of lawyers. She got her start in the legal field at an early age, working in her father’s law firm during summer breaks in high school.
Nancy Wall is an attorney licensed to practice in North Carolina.
Nancy loves to spend time with her family, read, and loves to play golf when she isn’t practicing real estate law. She had a solo practice for three and a half years before joining Capital City Law as an Of Counsel attorney.
John Cantril is a native of Scottsbluff, Nebraska and has spent time in many states before making North Carolina his home. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Augustana College in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Later, he earned his JD from the University of Nebraska College of Law.
John handles various practice areas for Capital City Law including commercial litigation, contracts, family law, and real estate law. He also assists startups and small businesses with
drafting and reviewing contracts and other early-stage business issues.
